New Map ????

Testing submitted maps and other items is reasonably said to be time consuming.  IMO we have 4 other arenas that sit idle most of the time, use them as testing grounds.  Announce it on bbs that anyone caring to beta test new map or such can go to AvA or DA or TA (or how many more options).

Having said that, I believe that AvA would be an excellent arena to do the same for CT.  Give us some peeks at planning room or avatar updates, anything to freshen it up a bit.  If anything it will enhance the gameplay all over.  More interest in dormant arenas will give the veteran players a place to cool their heels and still get some action instead of flying solo and strating fields.

Only worry for me is malicious files chewing away at my HD.   Must be a way to check for that and let her fly!

I'd like to see a bunch of new maps as well.

I give alot of credit and thanks to all the guys that have and are making maps, skins, and sounds to make this game even more enjoyable for the rest of us.

I got to the point of making the mountians and then got distracted by some new music software i got... I had the final "placement" of the bases on a BMP so i knew where to make the valleys and stuff, but man is that daunting. always second guessing yourself, going back saying, nudge this one here, shift that one there.... you get the idea.

i think i am going to try and get back on it. not having internet at home to look up things while working is a REAL PITA.

Assuming that CT will be up and running by next summer, I'd like to see HTC present a Map making seminar at next year's CON...assuming there'd be enough interest to warrant the time.

me personally yes and no. would i stay sober enough at a CON to take in and retain lessons on that complicated software? doubtful. yes the "seminar" would be cool, but at least the 2 CON's i went to the fellowship of meeting all the other guys, and catching up with ones you have met takes presidence. more time is spent socializing than anything else.

Poor useless jeep?  The jeep is great when a squady flips his tank over and ya got to get the supplies there now. Also good for looking for the hidden m3. How about when during a capture and a few troops get shot?


No, the jeep is not useless just limited to its uses.

And as for pure Mario cart fun -- nothing tops the jeep. I've yet to see somebody sponsor Tiger races.
