Went to the local antique shop on the 4th and found a 20mm shell in a box with some other stuff , no price tag on it , turned it over and saw that their is stamping on the bottom Brass.

the brass tip of the bullet has been removed and the powder inside is gone.
The shell casing or Brass removed from the bullet and powder gone and primer fired.
it is completely intact except for the powder.
On the Lead or Iron bullet their is stamped
D.P.

And on the Brass tip it is stamped
MK126- . . NC or MKI26- . . NC
paid little over $10.oo for it .
Lookin on the net I really cant seem to find exactly what I'm looking for as in what was it used in or for and where.
Any help would be appreciated

But here is one little piece I was able to find.
NOEN is the Naval Ordnance Engineeering Laboratory,Dahlgren, Md., USA. On 20mm experimental shells from 1940s/50s period.
Not sure what language this is, but it's very close.
