My gosh that looks like Central Texas. I get that warm fuzzy I'm home feeling when I see pictures like that

Marble Falls, a place called 'The Slabs'

its a kinda off-road adventure ground of sorts..

I've only got one thing to say about cactus butchery.  If you've ever shot a deer and had to run after it because you hit it's leg. Then after running for 20 min you kicked a cactus.  Then at that point if you realized that YES they can puncture boots and that YES they hurt for days and swell up.  THEN you'd love the sight of butchered cacti!

Heh.  When I was a wee lad, I was on summer vacation in Brady(?), Texas with my cousins.  We had spent the whole day water-sking.  That night after dinner we where tear assing around the campgrounds on our motorcross bikes in nothing but our swim suits still ( Hey its hot in central Texas even at night).  I came to a turn in the road I knew I wasn't going to make at the speed I was going and hit a big rock on the shoulder, flipped over the handle bars, and landed FLAT on my back into a clump of salamanderly pear the size of a sofa.  Right down deep in the middle of it.     Strangely enough, I don't remember the pain of landing, it was trying to get out that I REMEBER.

After that, I was to cactus, as Quint was to sharks.

Oh btw, I thought the photo was amusing.

regards,
Wab

Damn animal.  I've been waiting all day for you to finally reply to this post... and THIS is the best you can come up with.

You are truly an FDP.

Sorry Deja, I'm too tired right now  :(

Maybe tomorrow I'll think of a better post, including shirtless giants who eat bears and trees, glock firing girlfriends who win lotsa money on speed ticket trials against the goverment, and "hip" "cool" internet stock investors who own warplanes and post 3,000 posts on the AH bbs and 4,000 on the Flashpoint BBS in a month while having time to mantain this professional and cutting edge web page for a totally unrelated business.

maybe tomorrow.

sorry for the thread crapping, carry on with your riveting smoking cactus conversation

Apology accepted.  A groveling FDP is almost as rewarding as seeing wobble's tall tales used in the single longest sentance in history.
