These are screenshots of the game that this guy made with a digital camera...  they are  jaw droppingly georgeous - and thanks to the fidelity of the Il-2 graphics to start, most of them look like true 1940s color photographs!  Gotta be seen to be believed!

Yep, they look very good. I especially like some of the low level 109 pictures.

I am still amazed at what you can do with photoshop.  Unfortunately my employer will not purchase it for me.   :(

FYI, the only editing done to those pics is changing color balance and such, done with Paintshop Pro. The blurry effect visible on those pics is caused by the fact that the pics really are photographs of the monitor screen.

So they aren't actually screenshots, but have been altered in post-production, and won't be what I see should I purchase the game?

You're right, they do look good. Very well done.

Thats my only beef with AH, the ambient lighting seams like it's forever foggy.

If the ambient lighting could be cranked up a notch or 2 in AH.
