I wonder ... what is the sound a point being missed makes?

Guns? is it a "swish" or maybe Rip can help... how about "wooosh". Hey John... do you hear any "shoooming" noises?

for me it's actually a series of "klanks" performed at 100 to 120 beats per minute

Colbert pretends to be conservative but if I recall he's not quite right wing, he actually may be on the left! He did get his start through the conservative slander show...errr the Daily Show.
