With the futtbucks out of this one, I will elaborate a little. I got tagged at the range at which the CV ack opened fire, in level flight, at 498mph (per E6B), set on fire, and dead in under 15 seconds. No vis on the fleet ships except at full zoom, still miles away, zipping along,
*boomboomboomboomBOOOMCRANG*
"Hmmm, WTF, I'm on fire? I'm on fire!"
*pop*
I hate the retarded ack (fighters dead at several miles, while bombers survive at half the speed flying straight at the fleet, spending twice the time in range, and a fraction of the alt. Getting killed in what seems like a perfectly rational and safe place by AI that is programmed to function simply and randomly, as opposed to realistically and effectively.... I was just pissed off.
I'd like the ack to prioritize targets, and not shoot through, over, or around objects. Realism arguments are a mixed bag in here, for certain, but the ack, IMO, just sucks, and is unable to effectively defend anything, which would seem to be the only thing it would likely be good for. It's not the perks, or my score getting porked, or anything like that; it just seemed that this was highly improbable, at least to me.
