I'm betting that the ocean plays a bigger factor than your latitude. :)

I grew up outside of Modesto. We used to go to Santa Cruz every summer and we always stayed at the same place in Watsonville.

The weather in Modesto is much hotter and it's farther north.

Hmm I'm in Northern California, and yesterday it was 113, today it's suppose to be 110, tomorrow 110, again, we get a cool down for Thursday it's only suppose to be 108, then back up to the 110's, and Sunday the Weather Channel is forcasting 113, all that and the humdity is around 20%.
Oh and last night at 10:00 pm it was 94. But hey it's a dry heat :aok

Why anyone would choose to live inland in California is beyond me :aok

Point being, if this is a weather contest, I win! Of course I pay through the nose for the privilege

I just got back from a weekend in San Diego. While there, I overheard a lady complaining about the weather (it was around 78 at the time, with minimal humidity). The sky was crisp and clear, and although I was a bit warm wearing a black suit at an outdoor wedding, it was tolerable.

Now I'm back in DC.......

I hope that lady gets deported to Venus.
