The setup: During the furball over A3 last night I had just been rammed for the SECOND TIME by the same LTARd (someone SERIOUSLY needs to ground those guys).

As I decreased speed I had to shut off my port engine to keep the plane level. If the starboard engine quit I would be SERIOUSLY screwed.

With aerodynamics slightly better than a brick unfortunately I couldn't get the best approach, so first touched down about halfway down the runway.

After bouncing the initial touch I hit HARD and skidded out of control...

...lost what was left of the wing...

...but SOMEHOW still stuck it on concrete recorded the three kills.

Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

This is a fairly typical landing for me.

These are old from the Nomad archives, but still appropriate I think, as I've tried to pass these lessons on to the 80th Headhunters.

ROFLMAO, looking at that I SO wish I still had the footage from the flaming P-40 landing I made back when I flew with the 475th.

Touched down on fire with one wheel, cartwheeled and rolled the wreckage right in bewteen two P-38s and came to a stop next to an M-16. :lol
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.
