Some better replies at toward the end of the thread.

My point was to fill  SU and JP planesets

The G4M2,  jack, ki100 tony,

the soviet  yak 3, tu-2 (soviet bomber)

Get these planes in and not only will it add some more variety but also be good for special events.........

Well bkbandit The PBY can carry 4000Lbs of bombs or 2 torpedoes.  If HITECH codes water landing, and takeoff, from a fleet then we have something.  Also if we can take a formation, then no fleet is safe from the Cat.

PBYs should not be available at fleets. Airfields and ports (as the Cat CAN land on a runway).
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Actually they dropped the altitude so they could increase the density of incendary coverage. previous high altitude attempts to bomb Tokyo resulted in less than 16% damage, but one night over Tokyo at 7,000 feet and 60% of the city was destroyed....*in one night* (along with about 150K people) and it only cost the US 1 B-29 that was shot down that night.

In case anyone was wondering, the losses of B-29's in the pacific during WWII were as follows:

74 lost to fighters
54 lost to AAA
19 lost from AAA/Fighter combination
267 lost from "other" (I don't know what other is, but probably if they didn't know what happened to Joe and the rest of the boys......"one minute he was on my right wing, the next moment he was gone" )

personally, the B29 would be perfect in AH if they were perked about the same as the Arado. for the first few weeks there would be an orgy of B29 in the sky and falling out of the air...eventually you would see them about as often as you see arados. And WOW the TA152 would suddenly become a force to reckon with!

i would say the others where from out of gas .. engine failures .. etc.. thats why iwo jima was important so it could be used to land crippled 29's from raids on japan
