Its a good concept.

A couple of things I'll comment on.

CV's - OK the ports are reasonably hard to hit but being round the back of the island gives them quite long transit times to the battle.  Maybe it might be worth either adding an extra port with a CV closer in to the initial front line (what I'd do, you can never have enough CV's :D ) or move the ports in a bit.

The large water masses around the edge of the map are perfect for hiding CV's - this is not a good thing IMHO.  If I remember rightly this was mentioned by Hitech when I sent him a draft copy of Equinox without the mass of islands round the edge which stop CV's being hidden in obscure corners. (mmm, remember pizza? how bout a ring of V bases in a circle round the whole map?)

Is there a specific reason you have a small island tucked away behind the main one with just a single airfield and V base?  Curious on that one.

I might also be worth overlaying the grid over the map and/or making a larger scale version.  Some of the distances between bases look right on the limit of what HTC has said they'll accept in a MA map.

You might also be able to squeeze two bases each in FT.

Just suggestions, as I said. I like it  :)

Greetings,

Thanks for the comments.  Okay - 1 to 2 more ports on the front side of the big islands.

Concerning the spacing of bases, I believe you are concerned about the vehicle bases on the outside of the big islands...correct?  If so, I add a few more VBs.

The little islands were mainly to notify if a TF was trying to sneak in around one side.

To fill the voids, I can easily put some more small islands in the open areas - with small AFs.

I will review the sticky post, missed the bit about max distance.

I was trying to keep it as a small / medium map for my first attempt, but got plenty of room to work in the comments.

Thinking about naming the map 'Three Sisters' :lol

Thanks,

MWL - good looking terrain but I see the same things on it that caused the rabid dislike of bigisles (my MA terrain in AH1). There's too much distance between the choke points (the connecting islands) and the home lands. The fight will stagnate there with longish travel times - too long for the furballers. You might want to shorten the distances up in that region. A good chain of airfields, say 5/6ths of a sector apart along the chokepoints will likely cure that.

Cheers and GL with the terrain,

Greetings,

Thanks!  Okay, a few more islands between the three converging points.

I will probly try to keep the area around the FTown as clean as possible, so will work the edges - that will also meet some of gatso's concerns.

Thanks!

Nice work, my suggestion:

Make the images .jpg quality 70.

So we dont have to download 1 meg pictures using stinky 75 kbps DSL.

If you have adobe photoshop. Just load the image. Got to: File>Save for Web.

Select: .jpg (jpeg) as the file type. Then leave quality around 70 - 90. (Use JPEG High). THen just name it and save it.

I had a 3 meg file once, doing that reduced the file to 400 KB.

Factories must be included in each zone and they must also be named as groupmaster. Actually everything is named goupmaster, except CV's.
