Is F1 dieing.....

at least in Germany? Never seen so many empty seats at a GP before. One grandstand was only 50% full, if that.

i noticed that too.. may have been a result of MS not leading the championship.

It was an ok race yesterday. Not the best or the worst, but i actually enjoyed watching GP2 more this weekend.

I hope MS retires so the focus on in the sport can be on someone else. It seems that its too much interest in him however he performs.

More teams are getting competitive and I belive that too will improve interest.

Way too expensive.  Hockenheim is broke and it is a crap track.  The whole infrastructure stinks.

There was a good article in a German magazine.  Ecclestone wants to to drop the European GP and a couple others and move to other markets.  It mentions that he would like to have 2 US GPs, like the old days with a east and west GP.  There is also talk of a GP in Finland.  2010 is the timeframe.

Oh ya, Hockenheim stinks.............

I watch the start and the first two laps, watch a dvd, then tune in 2 hours later to see which of the top 8 on lap 2 retired with mechanical failure.

well, now Michael catching Alfonso fast, i think the 2006 season
is getting exiting, F1 dieing ? absolutely no.
I didnt like the new Hockenheim Circuit, the old one was great,
it had its own special charisma. The new track is so boring IMHO,
i would not miss it if Eclestone kicks it.

And like Monk said, the Tickets are way to expensive, at the end,
the world dont need F1, its nothing more then a Circus, its a show
who lives from & for its fans. Amusement. If you compare what
other Amusement ;) you can get for the price of one Ticket, its
really overpriced.

And yes we need new Tracks!
The statement below is true.
The statement above is false.

That about sums it up.  I watch the first turn to see ALL of the passing for the day and then wait for the NASCAR racing to commence.
