Yup, had almost the exact same thing happen to me on my way to thanksgiving with the family a few years ago. Was waiting in middle to turn left, the light turns red, the car coming at me in the left lane stops, the one in the right lane doesn't and gets me almost head on. They got a ticket, I got nothing.
