Yeah Thrawn, WTF?  Hannity is Goebbels.  Bush is Hitler.  Get it straight.

I gotta admit that I didn't initially notice it was a charity thing.  I'll scan the ad I saw.  It's hilarious. It's still going to be a ****ty concert.  But it will at least partially make up for the participants helping to get our guys and a bunch of Iraqis killed in the first place.  They might be able to improve their spot in hell.  Maybe endless O'Reilly reruns instead of eternal sodomization by rusty 105mm bore brush?

I just posted the first link I found without reading it.  I initially saw the thing in one of the San Diego papers, huge ad, funny as hell, didn't say much if any about charity.  Have fun at the concert, Jared. :aok

But without that, I can't support it. The US is about to become an "aggressor" nation in the same way Iraq did when Iraq invaded Kuwait without provocation. That's my opinion, and it sickens me to think that the US is going to become what we have fought against for so long.

What US civilian lives lost can you trace directly to Iraq? I'll step up and say we need a definitive "traceable" act against us in order to justify this war.

UNLESS the Security Council asks the US to make Iraq comply with the UN/SC resolutions. And that obviously isn't going to happen.

I'm sorry, much as I hate the idea of Hussein remaining in control and murdering and starving his own people..... I don't want to see the US become an agressor nation.

Wrong again about "Rah Rah'd the troops into this mess". Your memory is incorrect.

As for "guilting", that's in your head. I just pointed out that this concert is a very positive act to help folks that need help. I asked if they had done anything in that vein. If there's guilt, that would be in their heads; I'm not judging, I'm asking.

How about you? You do anything?

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

You can't make fun of fat guys, but it's OK to bring someone's profession into question.  I was visiting a friend.  They have a 100 yard indoor range down there!

"Concert to Benefit Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund for Children of America's Military Heroes

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – San Diego will soon welcome the stars of country music when 760 KFMB-AM radio presents the first West coast “Hannity Freedom Concert” on August 2 at the Coors Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, California.
The concert will directly benefit the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund which benefits the dependent children of fallen military heroes. "

As we say here in Jersey

Somone here got a problem with dat??

(Around these parts an affirmative answer to such a question will usually result in that person getting the snot beat out of them LOL)

I cant beleive anyone, even here, reguardless of political affiliation would have a problem with a concert whos proceeds directly benifit the kids of fallen soldiers.

They often have outspoken people from the left and right and they are allowed to speak their minds. I watch it once every couple of weeks or so, when I begin to start thinking that maybe liberals really aren't so bad afterall.  ;)

This board has pretty much the same curative effect.

so what if they are appearing there.

The proceeds benifit the kids. Not either of those two clowns, or even Hannity for that matter.

IT wouldnt matter if Hillary or even Micheal Moore were sponsoring it

ITs STILL a good cause

Hannity could care less about country music, its artists, or anything having to do with country and western culture. Simply a publicity stunt, although I do support its intention of increasing educational opportunities. Hannity wouldn't know what to do on a farm to save his life.

However, this sudden support for education begs the question: Why is a stuffed shirt conservative in support for education when the administration he supports has done everything in its power to cut financial aid resources, cuts funding for publis universities (including the land-grant institutions, which lead the world in math and science research), fails to fund NCLB, etc...

I just find it...ironic
