X52 Throttle
« on: July 31, 2006, 05:21:24 PM »
I can not set up my X52 Throttle so that when I am at zero power the RPM's are at 0, for some reason it is reversed and the invert axis button is not helping the problem.  I am using the Main Throttle (X axis-analog) as Throttle 1 and the slider as RPM increase/decrease.  If any body has a better set up please feel free to let me know because this just does not work.

You won't ever get 0 RPM while in flight. The air pushes the prop and keeps it spinning. You are "set to 0 RPM" but the game just gets you as close as you can.

Same goes for setting high RPM. You might "set to 100% RPM" but depending on your altitude and power curve, you could develop a lot less.

EDIT: What is reversed? The throttle, or the RPM? Make sure you are reversing the axis for the right one!

I understand that while flying the propeller will have air moving against it causeing a rotation(RPM indication), But when I am idle on the ground with my throttle closed(Flight stick throttle) I am at full power in the air plane but when I go to full power with the throttle(Flight stick throttle) I come back down to idle power even with that axis inverted.  I was wrong about the axis being the "X" axis  it is actually the "Z" axis

also dowes anybody have a good controller layout for the X52 just looking to see if I could streamline my buttons

Thanks
