Got the hardware all together Saturday, and spent most of Sunday reloading software.  Have not had a chance to run much of anything yet.

Although, if the installation performance is any indication, this pup is bloody quick.  The Seagate vertical recording drives (dual 320GB) seem to be really quick as well.

I hope to finish up installation of all the software tonight and start actually using it.

EDIT:  Forgot to mention.  This thing runs very cool.  Idle holds around 35C and the highest it gotten yet is 42C.  Anxious to see what happens when AHII is loaded up.

Any particular reason for choosing that motherboard? I haven't really started looking into the Conroe MB options and would like to hear what you know on the subject.

I got it $20 cheaper than the Deluxe version.

I have not played AH with it yet.  Been busy with video encoding.  Easily twice as fast as my previous system (3.4Ghz Northwood).

Getting ready to try out the AVIVO stuff from ATI and see if the quality is as good.

Hehe.  Been a bit low on my personal priority list.  I use my home system primarily for video and audio work.
