Now I'll preface this by saying that Yes, I know you shouldn't be flying below treetop level in the first place, and Yes, I was desperate at the time....
So I'm in my Ki-84, and I just wacked a goon that was coming in to take our base, and so the cappers there were a bit P.O.ed....
So here I am running like I got 5 planes on my tail (which I did), and I'm going low and fast, and juking through the trees to try to keep some of the fire off my tail and maybe get one of the B**tards to clip a tree and die...
when I pop over a hilltop, clip the top of a tree and die myself.
So I think to myself, Self, shouldn't I be able to clip a bit off the top of a tree with a whirling propeller or wingtip without automatically being dead? Shouldn't the collision model which seems to rip pieces off my wing when I cross with another plane just bust up my prop or take the wingtip off? And how come the tree never has a scratch on it, or catches fire from all that avgas I just spilt into the environment?
If nothing else, I'd like to be able to fly over that smoking hole in the forest that used to be my opponents plane and watch 'em burn.
