What's wrong with hockey

As for the "Outback", we have plenty of those, but there are better places for a steak

Now if you will excuse me I have to go to my "Talk about the US" meeting, it has a 12 step program :)

Good for you, it takes baby steps at first, make sure your Sponser is a Beaver and you'll recover well.

Give him a fair trial, then give him the firing squad.

Well yes I am aware that Baby Backs are not steak.....the point I was making is that "The Outback" is a fairly common middle of the road place to eat...sorry that I did not explain that clearer  ;)

Does anyone else think Outbacks aren't what they used to be?  Used to drop in one on the road, or in town for a change of pace, but food doesnt seem to be as good as it was a while back.  Maybe it is just me.  Certainly are better steakhouses out there.

I've had good trips and bad trips to outback.  Sometimes their steaks are amazing, other times not so good.  I'd probably put it at 75/25 good to bad.

But it doesn't compare to the 7 Stars Inn.

For good steaks, there is Sullivans, Ruth Chris, Mortons of Chicago and Mannys that come to mind.

Had a amazing Rib Eye at a Ruth Chris, comes out on a steel plate heated to 500 degree F, sizzling in butter.

Club Paris in Anchorage serves a 14 oz Filet Mignon that is a meal in itself.  Just across the road and down slightly is a Sullivans, another fine chow hall.  Ate at both those one week, boss almost choked on my expense account that week.  :D

But it was paid.  Hey, what is a $65 dollar steak dinner on the expense account, (or two of them).

cpxxx nailed it and I agree. On the other hand, can't be sending a message that this sort of behavior is acceptable from a volunteer. He's going to have to face the music and the truth of the matter is there are specific articles dealing with desertion and none of them mention public sentiment or support.

Sorry, dude!
