F4F-4 Fuel Consumption

Fuel consumption, per E6B, appears to be reversed for Mil Pwr vrs WEP.  Here are some off-line flight test figures using a burn rate of 1.5 :

0K..........495 gph.......414 gph
5K..........504 gph.......423 gph
10K........454 gph.......423 gph
15K........477 gph.......423 gph
20K........486 gph.......410 gph
25K........468 gph.......441 gph

I thought this too once ago, but:
It is not a bug, its a feature and was discussed before on this BBS. The F4U´s engine uses water-injection when in WEP, which actually reduces specific fuel consumption.

You're right, the original post was in reference to the F4U-4.  Not the Wildcat.
