Just read an article in combatsim.com by Jan Zurakowski, who flew with the 234 and 609 squadrons in BoB flying the Spit Mk I.
Anyway, he gives a brief description of some of his engagements and tactics he used against the 109, plus his perceived strengths of the MkI vs the 109, and where the 109 was better than the MkI.
It's a quick little blurb, but kind of interesting.
