the latest victim of the anti-bush crowd

don't the dems realize removing the moderate reps from their party dooms them forever?

what I don't understand is that by trying to get the jewish vote, they are screaming that bush should get into the Israeli conflict but at the same time they do not back Lieberman and say Iraq is/was a mistake (though they voted for it). So they appear to be anti war to some but only if it is not the war they need to be in to get votes ... more double talk, more ABB (anybody but bush) mindset without any real plans of their own or clue about the state of the world

Lieberman is one of the few dems I respect, sorry to see him ousted by the cindy sheehan mouth piece

Based on polls I've read, he will still win a 3 way race in Con.

he is a moderate liberal, and as far as politicians go...one of the better choices, although that doesnt mean much.

He lost a lot of credit with me when he jumped on the Terry Shiavo bandwagon.

But, I am not a resident of Connecticut, so it does not matter what I think.

It would be a grave error for the Democrats to nominate a candidate favorable to the stances of their radical left-wing.  That is the one thing that could drive moderate voters who are tired of Republican rule back into the arms of the Republican party in the election of 2008.

I have come to the conclusion, after observing human and political behavior for the past half-century, that there is an attitude, deeply engrained in our natures which says "NeverneverneverEVER admit a mistake or yield a point to the opposition because to do so is to admit one's own fallibility."

Thus, we see the same political mistakes being made, time and time again, by both Democrats and Republicans....and a widening gulf between the two parties and their supporters.
