Im testing the MS Virtual PC on my work laptop.
Its fun, dont know if there is any idea for it to me, but fun.

Wonder if wmware has any benefits over the ms version?

Maybe I try to run AH from a virtual PC :P

I installed my office pc into virutal pc. prety cool. It works very well.
Then I installed virtual pc on my game pc, and copied the office virutal pc to it, and it worked ! The first try all worked vpn, lotus notes etc.

But I cant use dual cpu in virtual pc, nor can I use dual screens. Or then I just dont know how to :P
oAnd im prety sure one cant run AH in it tho.

I dont quite understand the deal with vmware, it seems to me that it is only free to use preconfigured machines but the program which is actually intresting, vmware workstation, costs money ??

Yup.
We use it at work on two main Oracle (one 8i one 9i) machines with a 'virtual' image of each other, connected via SCSI cluster cards which are attached to our main Oracle RAIDs.
If either dies I can fire up the virtual machine on the other system to maintain full Oracle database access until I fix the dead one.

Usefull for three main purposes -
1) Test environments without needing multiple machines.
2) Failover. (as in our situation).
3) Sending images to customers.
