The other thread about bumper stickers got me thinking about the stupid personalised license plates we get here in Australia. Do you guys suffer from them in other parts of the world? If so, share your pain here...

2 of the worst I have seen:

On a red Mazda coupe driven by a 40 something, very unattractive woman "2CUTE4U"

On a purple, very stupid looking Hyundai Excel "LEATHL"

I've seen:
EX PAYS on a BMW....... cute girl driving.
UR NVUS on a Corvette
NV THIS also on a Corvette
VENOM on a Viper..... very cool
NO FEAR on a 300ZX..... very good looking girl driving that one.
and 6 FIG on a Lexus... a punk bellybutton 20 something diving this one.

Saw a car one day when I was still on the force. It had a vanity license plate in code. H2O CO2. I pulled up at a light and asked why his plate indicated carbonated water. He said his last name was Seltzer.

The dumbest ever was a guy I worked with.

His plates said, A WILD 2.

I would see it every day in the lot.
One day me and a friend were talking about cars,
and I finally found out who's truck it was.

I was like, "I was wondering about that, what in the hell does that mean?"

So my friend told me the story. Appearently this guy wanted A WILD 1, but it was taken so he went with the latter...

Friend use to own a Chrysler NewYorker '65 (with "white" tail-lights and 413cid.) with Finnish plates 'BUY-1'.
He wrecked that car by driving it through a Toyota Hiace van, In from right frontdoor and out from backdoor. All he got were only couple bruises

I've seen a woman driving one of those old 2-door convertible Mercedes with a plate that said "WAS HIS"

Her in the UK there's very little freedom about number plates so if you want one that means something you might have to fork out a few thousand quid. I remember reading about a guy who bought his wife a b/day present for £4,000 - a number plate for her Escort Convertible that read "K1NKY". I think she lasted a coupe of months before giving it back

there was this plymouth van in town that had a butterfly on it's hood. its plate was LOVE2U

oh yeah, the guy who drove it was named Gay Stewart..

my 70 duster 340's plate: DUST EM
my bros 68 plymouth GTX 440's plate: UDLOSE
