Invitation To All Near Chicago This Thursday
I am sorry it is last minute but, Gary, Indiana Airport (five minutes from my house) puts a private night show on for pilots and their families that is great! They give the date out right before it happens and we have front row view in the lot next to the airport. The last two years they lit fireworks off the back of the Red Bull MiG - 17 which was cool to see in addition to them bombing the runway with fantastic explosions!! The are doing this Thursday August 17th. at dusk and would love to get anyone who can make it out.

Yes the Chicago Air and Water show is this weekend and we used to go every year but, the Thursday before they put on a night show 5 minutes from my house for the pilots family and friends that is fantastic!!! Starts at dusk and the finale is usually the Red Bull Mig with fireworks shot off the back of it. They explode the run ways at the airport when the bombers fly over and my favorite the warthogs fly over head all day long ... f14 just flew by my house while I was typing this LOL. It is tomorrow and I was hoping to get some locals to drive out for a couple hours. Few of the JB's I heard were in Elgin and somewhere else close ... then a few others while getting that party planned are close enuff. It is at the Gary/Chicago Airport at dusk and we will be by the red patriotic jeep <---can't miss it!! I am willing to pass out cell number to those driving in to meet there or house address to stop by and go all together. So if you can take a half day Thursday or wanna take off Friday or just come out and kill some time without a day off ... up to you guys!! Beats sitting in the sun at the beach all day staring in the uv rays to try to get a glimpse of a fly by .... and eeewwweee the lake water when I have a pool ...he he So anyway I want who can make it to try cuz it would be cool to meet AND watch !!

I know a few guys are from the MIL area. don't know of any others. Wish it was closer to PHX. We should be getting close to having the airshow here @ Falcon Field in Mesa. Thanks for reminding me to check on that.

Thanks! There were a JB or two that were really close like Elgin and Wheeling ... can't remember who they were. Leaving in a few hours ... will post pics!!

HEY!!! where were you and Nightmare and the rest of the squad for that matter last night? Did I miss the memo that said Squad night was cancelled due to some silly airshow in some backwater town?
