Mora, they don't care if the trailer moves or not. You pay per callendar year, period. If you claim the vehicle (motorvehicle here) was broken and inoperable you must have proof and an affidavit from a mechanic the vehicle couldn't be moved.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Well that's just sick. I could build a trailer during the evenings in a week, and it would cost me less than the yearly tax on it. It just doesn't make any sense since the trailer won't move on it's own, and it has to be pulled by an allready taxed motor vehicle.

We do a have a similar system on motor vehicles here too, but it'll thankfully change next year.

That trailer is an RV, not some cargo/boat trailer, right?  In that case I can understand a little more, as the greedy moneygrubbers aren't getting any taxes as if it were a home and trailer taxes by themselves are usually paltry (our sailboat trailer cost around $20 bucks for registration).  Plus, it probably cost well over 20 grand and the government probably views it as a luxury item.

For a moderately new car, it used to be agbout $500-$700 a year in the Peoples Republic of Washington State, but thankfully, a republican lobbyist got a millions signatures and repealed the tabs tax law. We basically forced the state to have audits done by 3rd parties to see where it mis-spends it money while forcing them to actually budget for planned highway spending. What a concept!  Now we pay $30/year car tabs, but they tacked on a .30 cents per gallon gas tax (over a period of 10 years) *sigh*

think it's about $35 per year in Florida. Dunno, mine isn't due until December.

All taxes should  be concentrated on fuel. That's a fair deal, you only pay for actual road usage, and you pay more or less depending on how much you pollute.

Guess we arent all that bad. Back in the late 90's it was $42 I think, but then Gorge Ryan decided to stiff the people out of more money to put into his pockets by raising stickers

Until you live in Connecticut or New York, you really can't complain about taxes or the cost of living.

Don't worry too much about taxes.  They'll hit 'critical mass' one day, and we'll all get to use those heavily modified bushmasters in our closets to start a new government.
