Someone in Britain was offended by 2 episodes of Tom and Jerry in which smoking was shown, not Turner Broadcasting is editing their catalogue of shows from the Flintstones to Tom and Jerry to rid themselves of the evil smoking!
Linky Being a non-smoker myself, i've never been offended by anyone smoking on TV or in cartoons, so long as I don't have to smell it i'm cool. I suppose this falls on the heels of Joe Camel being killed as a "smoking advocate" because he was a cartoon. It should really be no surprise someone is offended by cartoon smoke though, someone is probably offended by this thread.
When I was a kid we used to "smoke" candy cigarettes from 7-11, now....
