Potyomkin was made in 1925. It's a story about a rebellion in Russian Empire, not USSR.

In Soviet Navy there was no such a huge "gap" between sailors and officers, like in Russian Imperial navy or British navy.

In summer 1905 there was a big unrest in the Navy, after Tsushima and surrender in Port Arthur. Naval rebellions happened until 1907, "Pamyat' Azova" cruiser in the Baltic. Cruiser Ochakov, Sveaborg fortress....

About USSR - there were so manyt hings completely alien and absolutely different to anyone living in so-called "free world" that even I don't understand it all myself.

Of course not!  Plus, they had helpful political officers to make sure that the dialectic was properly adhered to, all part of keeping that "gap" at bay.

"So-called free world" is so very true.  Capitalism is the worst economic system ever invented....  well, except for everything else.

Yeah, it seems in the USA if you work hard and excel at something, you can make a good living from it.  Go figure.

Uncle Vito is quite a sqeezball.  If you look on the internet, you can often find pictures of him groping girls much younger then him.

I haven't seen too many details, but I'm willing to bet that he did this to a minor without realizing she might be under 18.
