As evidenced by this challenge. Maggie would be proud.

I'm a little dissapointed with the black guy who was 4 yards away from the hit.  If that was me, I would have laid into the guy, regardless of the consequences.

Maggie has such a miserable excuse for a son I think she would prefer anything with a chin.

You can't see it in the video, but Mendes is knocked out cold and suffers a seizure. In his defence, I think Johnson (the black fella) is more concerned with that than retaliating against Thatcher.

Fortunately Mendes only spent one night in hospital. Pretty lucky really.

Oh, I knew right away that he was hit seriously.  This is the order of least to worst in reactions to hits.

1.) Walking on Queer Street
2.) Sudden Unconciousness
3.) Rigidness of all muscles

But it's still very saddening for me that none of his team mates did anything immediately.  A team mate's honor is only just more important then his health.

Ok,  that's not football, that's soccer...

i was lookin for some football, u euro guys got me lookin for shoulder pads and helmets not shorts and shine guards. That was still a hard hit, even though that wasnt what he was tryin to do. Soccer is not easy but neither is slaming a 300 lb off tackle and chaseing down a slippery quarter back.

That wasn't what he was trying to do?

Unbelievable.  Not only did he lead with his elbow, he maliciously swung it across the guy's face.

Should have been "red carded" and ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Furball, none of those hits were even in the same league as the first one.  They were just cheapshots magnified by pansy euro's play acting.
