Ha yea...couple of the guys I know mentioned this a year or so ago. They are part of that 501st thing and do a lot of charity things in stormtrooper outfits. More and more girls wanna be part of it but wanted more, err, acomodating armor.
Funny stuff.
Those storm trooper outfits arent cheap...about $750 for the armor, about $500 for the helmt (depending on the type...hero, etc) then the shoes and blaster. Some of these guys go all out, having a cooling system in the helmet, complete with the radio/cackle voice sound.
And you thought I was off the deep end just building an R2-D2...dude, Im light duty compared to some of these fans!
