I haven't been there, but I know them from restaraunts around here and a few Portogues Brasilian families from renting duplexes to them, and I work with some BraSilians.  Very warm, very family, culturally, the average Brazilian women are so nice (not ball busters like Jamaican women), and really the Brasilan men are very warm and friendly too.  When I came to collect rent it was, "Come in, come in, I miss you. We are eating, we have barbequed, you come and sit down.  (Not like you are thinking about bbq, its on the grill, but its rice, peas, organ meats, of which liver killed it for me, I'm choking and my renter/friend hands me a glass of clear liquid I think is water, but it is really some kind of licorace tasting stuff that I drank down without knowing and then started couphing more.  I really like those people.
