Paul Reed Smith, president of PRS Guitars, has said that "Leo Fender was in a 'state of grace' when he designed the Stratocaster."

Yup, strat's suck.  Over 50 years continual production virtually unchanged.

Strats rule!

Let me re-phrase...Starts are good "all around" guitars...Jack of all trades, master of none....I personally prefer 24 frets, I dont like a strats neck, and I think it is under powered...

There's no doubt PRS makes a damn fine guitar.  My problem with solid bodied guitars with humbuckers is that their tonal palette is less broad than that of a Strat.  I also prefer the cleaner, bell-like glassy tones of a single coil.  That being said, I just bought one of these off of eBay:

The sound of a semi-hollow guitar with humbuckers is awesome.  "Siberian Khatru" here I come!
