Branch is good, but not worth 39 mil.  Pats will be OK.

Drafted him in the 2nd round and got a first round pick for him. The Pats have a defensive line of first round picks, two can be linked to trades getting a first round pick.

I would wait and see if they score another Wolfork  before you say they dropped the ball.

They are gurus at the draft, acquiring extra picks and parlaying those into even more picks.

Branch would not have been worth that kind of money. Not when you can find a David Givens in the 7th round, or a David Patten on the waiver wire. Hmmm, I wonder how those guys are doing now after signing big contracts? It's pretty easy to be a good receiver when you have the best QB in the league to get you the ball.

But, with all Pats players the seahawks are getting someone who has produced on the game's greatest stage, and has a good attitude and a good work ethic. That's why they signed Tom Ashworth to big bucks(someone the pats plucked off someone's practice squad I believe)

Oh, and did I mention they have won three of the last five superbowls?
