Ok, I'll admit it, I only read the O'Club these days, so I'm glad you posted the heads-up in here.

What are the other forums like? Are they dangerous?

I'll be honest, I think that furball islands were the best solution to the problem.  Make a set of unreachable, uncapturable islands with limited planesets.

This way, everyone would be in the same arena, no one is limited from joining the MA and you don't break squads up.

i am a JB.  i am used to being restricted to specific plane sets.

i am waitin for a new system, so i wont be able to chime in until i have tried it, but i am, in theory, for the general idea.

now, before you endict me, let me say this...i would prefer that the arenas be divided by campaign or season or time...i.e.  it would be awesome if there were several main arenas where variable situations could be possible.

a winter map here...a battle of the pacific there...nightime on this map over yonder...

all of these surrounding a main arena that acted closer to what we are used to.

what i am trying to say is this...we should always have the option of a good old fashioned, all of us together, chumfest.

i hope this will slowly make its way to the mothership in HT's brain...i think it would work better...but who am i?

Maybe HT is doing a "New Coke" - "Old Coke" type spiel.  He gives us this new arena, but when it doesn't work out, gives us TOD.  TOD might not be as great as old MA, but it's leagues better then the new MA's.  Thus we think it's awesome.

I have been giving it a try but right now its totaly fubar.  I was on the late war arena with 200 on, 21 of those were rook.  Just jumped on again and the early war arena was way out of balance with the rooks and the late arena was just as bad as earlier.  Ya have to wonder if they even thought that restricting use in each arena would force imbalancing in all the arenas.

Thanks for the heads up.  I don't read the general discussion forum much any more.  You guys think the whining in here is bad, sheesh...

I tried it last night and I've got to say I really like it.  Is it perfect? No. Will it need some tweaking?  Yep.  But the concept is a good one and I think it's the best change HTC has made in a long time.
