Ya know I dont even think about the water effects, cause I have them turned off....not because I cant run them, but because they are a HUGE disadvantage as planes tend to be much much much harder to see against the 'better' looking water.

But, I cant say if there are some 'extra' effects, I just know that the diff between my 9800pro, 6600 gt and 6800 gt oc, are nothing like in many new 'all flash no substance' games.

thanx guys... i noticed nvidia has a profile for AH on their gaming site "sli club" or whatever its called...think ill buy one topend card than add another when the price drops...  ordering the athlon64 4800 with the 4 slot pci express motherboard on monday...woot!

SLI still really only usefull for -

Cranking up AA and AF at insane resolutions without really affecting frame rates.

For most people a single high end card is good enough.

There is a game called "Aces High" that is already in the default latest SLI profiles.
Dunno if it's the same one though.

I had two 7800GT cards & played AHII. AHII might not be optimized for SLI but it works. My current 7950GX2, though not technically an SLI, has two cards bridged together in one PCI-E slot & it also works great.
