Resetting arenas
« on: September 15, 2006, 01:20:26 PM »
I know HTC has many things they do that are transparent to us and I also agree we don't need to be informed of these things.
I do think it would be nice to at least tell people when an arena is going to be reset.
I know you can't wait for every Tom, Dick, and Harry to finish what they think is important but a quick message would be nice.
Example- Just now in the TA I was helping a person with their dive bombing. We were just discussing a point and whap, host connection lost.

Is an 'arena being reset' notification to hard to do?

Sounds unusual. They normally do give warning prior to an arena reset. Gotta wonder, was it a reset...or a crash?

Well, can't we get advance notice before every unplaned crash/outage?

I had them reset the SEA (it was for a new patch, all arenas were reset) during frame two of a SnapShot I was running w/o wany warning.

Wheeeee doggies I was ticked off.

The reset you are speaking of fuze, was rather unintentional.  Akin to my big foot and power cord thing.  Sorry.

What happened to WMLute was planned.  Paybacks for beating me up in KOTH.  :D

I broke my rule and posted before my 10 minute cool off period expired.

Far as payback, Skuzzy you should have been at last Fridays KOTH. It's name was almost changed to POLD.

Edit- "Akin to my big foot and power cord thing."
I can't recall anything like that ever happening. No amount of refreshing my memory will make that synapse fire.
