Wonder if they would reconsider letting a small group of guys produce the basic planes, then they could add their magic to them.

FSDS and GMax can both export in a format Multigen can read.

Been playing with FSDS myself last 3-4 weeks, produced an AI F-117A.

Fully animated gear, fins.
Chute pops out on landing :) .
Warning flags and chocks when inactive.
Animated canopy.

Might help as there isn't supposed to be any new content (from HTC anyway) until after T.O.D. or whatever it's called is released.

I wouldn't be surprised if the current F4U-1A isn't relabeled as an F4U-1 and another bubbletop -1A isn't released when they get the F4U series remodeled.  They've been doing a pretty good job fixing things like that when they re-make the aircraft to AHII standards.

There are a boatload of useful variations that would be fairly easy to roll out with new models.

Japan

B6N (improved B5N series)
D4Y Suisei (Comet, one of the worlds FASTEST dive bombers in history)
J2M Raiden (one of the fastest Navy fighters in japanese inventory)

Wouldn't all three of these fit better in the mid-war planesets?

they're all late war.

Why can't htc be absolute on the dates?  I hear that ki-84 is available in mid war but that plane appeared in LATE '44 (late war!)

I guess it would take an introduction of Ki-44 in mid war arema to move the Ki-84 to late war status.

Easisest way would be to just say -

EW - 1940/1
MW - 1942/3
LW - 1944/5

With aircraft in them when they flew at at least squadron strength, no subs, no fudging.

Though your singular pronouncements are fun, I guess I need to know what you consider "late war."

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but wasn't the J2M  in Service thoughout 1943? The D4Y from Winter '42 on?

The B6N... I think you're right about that one.
