If you could ask the Syrian Amb. One Question...
« on: September 26, 2006, 05:48:15 PM »
If you could ask the Syrian ambassador one question, what would it be?

I ask because, apparently, he is scheduled to speak at my school this Thursday:

CCSU (Stanley Street, New Britain, CT)
7:00 p.m.
Founder's Hall (In the Davidson Building I believe)

Anyway, I'm working for the school newspaper this semester and was considering going to this, though I don't know if I could really do so while keeping proper "decorum..."

I'm curious, if you had the opportunity, what would you ask?

Edit - it is open to the public, btw, in case any of you from CT or the various local states of lesser importance care to go :D

Ask him if he thinks the world would be better off if the US removed itself from the Middle East.

You'd think the common answer would be Yes, but I'd bet on a Qualified No.

Ask him "When is Syria going to stop funneling fighters into iraq to fight those giving freedom to the people?"

Very good question.
Also ask him if he realizes that his country is penciled in on "the list"

If Syria could have anything it wanted, what would it ask for to achieve a lasting peace in the Middle East now and in the future?
