It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Nickleback!!! Saw then in concert last year with 3 Doors Down and Puddle of Mud. 3 Doors Down was supposed to be the headliner, but Nickleback stole the show.

Hey Rpm check out -
Rebel Meets Rebel - It's Pantera with David Allen Coe on vocals.

To bad they'll never be able to make another.

I listen to everything from The Doors to Jason Becker to Obituary depending on the mood.

Lesee,

I'm mostly listening to Classical and Blues/Swing/Big Band these days - John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Louis armstrong, Big Bad Vodoo Daddy, Django Reinhart, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Sam and Dave

As to Rock: Tragically Hip, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jethro Tull, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, George Thoroughgood, Foo Fighters, Collective Soul, STP, Rush, Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Cream, Hendrix, The Doors, Skynyrd

All time favorite Rock band would have to be THE WHO, has been since I was a kid .

As a general rule, I can't stand CCM. Although I liked the album "Jesus Freak" by DC Talk. I much prefer old Timey Gospel and Bluegrass, Mahalia Jackson, Flatt and Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Union Station, etc...

Two I haven't seen mentioned yet are Spoon and The Eels.  Like some others have mentioned, I haven't heard any really great rock music from the last 10 years or so, but both of these bands have proven themselves to be exceptions to that.  Both are groovin' laid-back alternative rock.

You can listen to some samples of my favorites at CDnow:

Spoon

My favorite is the song "Two Sides of Monseur Valentine"

More Spoon

Give "The Way We Get By" and "Don't Let It Get You Down" a listen.

Eels

Favorites off this album include: Rock Hard times, Dirty Girl, and Lone Wolf.  Check out all three. They've got a bunch of other good stuff too.

You can also find both bands on Pandora internet radio, too.
