Clearly a solution in search of a problem. Only thing I can see this is good for is to retrieve an "archived" tv show that isn't being broadcast. I am sure the syndicators will want their shekels for the dload though.

I sure as heck hope that's a joke.


I can watch TV on my computer for a hell of a lot less than what they're asking for.

With my $300 video card I can watch TV on my computer, I get one channel with antenna and about 75 with cable.

Ahhh, I just read the complete thing. Yes, it is a joke. Good satire LOL

For a  REAL example of this idea:

A Singapore company has video on demand available for the whole country.

Since the following url document was made,
the competing "cable" companies are taking a big "hit" because of this. The majority of their customers have switched it seems.
Singapore, I was told, has fiberoptic cable for the whole country now.
