Bullfrogs all the way!
« on: November 10, 2001, 12:32:00 AM »
The Lake Worth Bullfrogs defeated the Dublin Lions tonight 34-0, giving them a perfect record (10-0) for the first time in nearly 20 years. The Bullfrogs leading rusher, Number 45 Mark Patino, scored mostly all of the points in tonights game. Lake Worth hopes to become the 3A State Champs this year.

Go Bullfrogs! Being a band student, I'm intitled to these posts...<G> lol

It's high school football. Big guys with thick heads running into each other for points. It's American football. <G>

Heya Texace...I know where Lake Worth is.  My girlfriend grew up in Blue Mound and went to school at Boswell.  Her father still lives in Saginaw.

For those that don't know, High School Football is extremely popular in Texas.   :)  some of their high school games draw more people than college games do!

Hey Nifty, high brass all the way! Played trumpet for almost 5 years, and am going to continue to do so...<G>

Charon, no it's not. <G>

Our Aledo game was so big, we built a new stadium only for it. Lake Worth hasn't had a decent team in years. Of course, our first playoff game is against Hillsboro, so that's as far as we're probably gonna go...<G>

Texace is good people.   :D

heh, my old high school team lost pretty bad in the first round of the playoffs this year.  Of course we had to play the #1 or #2 team in the state.

We don't take it quite as seriously as Texas does, but we did make the 7 hr drive to Daytona in 1994 to watch my old team win the state championship.  We had to beat the #1 team in the country as ranked by USA Today.  Heh, I liked 1994;  my high school wins the state title, and FSU comes back from 31-3 in the 4th quarter to tie Florida!

<G> Yeah, high school football is big here, especialy in this town. Everywhere I go, people are talking about the team, and if they're going to go all the way this year. I know that if we do make it to State, this town with shut down and either watch the game at Texas Stadium or on TV. And, fortuanatly, the band gets praise too, because we have to be at the games..<G>

And we screwed up. Lake Worth lost to Hillsboro in the first playoff game 29-14. Looks like our boys got cocky, seeing as how we beat them last year 31-0 in the same stadium. Oh well..no more marching for us...yay! <G>
