Bush is not an Orator. He does speak very directly, however. Some American press made the Churchillian reference... not me.
Bush most certainly did change words into unassailable truth. The Taliban believe his words, even if you don't.
As for Britain standing with you? Some say we might be holding you back. I was surprised the US waited as long as it did before hitting Afghanistan.
I wasn't. Same tactics as Desert Storm. I'm hardly qualified to judge US tactics in Afganistan without access to all the military intelligence, but success does kind of speak for itself.
