Since i joined the game i've always had problems with heat in the box. In fact a few times the processor overheated causing a reboot. Not being all that familiar with computers i searched the board and found some great info on upgrades. I installed another case fan, upgraded the video card, sound card and power supply.
This all helped but when playing online my cpu temp was still hovering in the low to mid 60's. Thats when i searched again and found a post by kev 367th suggesting a blow hole to assist cooling.
This past weekend i removed the top cover, cut out a blow hole and installed an exhaust fan.
Well i just had an online test run, and for the first time my cpu temp did not reach the 60 degree mark. Outstanding!! Not only am i very happy with the fact that i don't have to worry about my cpu cooking, but also that i don't have that really annoying high pitched scream of the back exhaust fan any more.

So i have 1 side intake through a funnel blowing on the cpu.  1 intake/circulation fan sitting on top of the hard drive low up front. 1 high-mid rear exhaust fan. 1 power supply exhaust fan. 1 blow hole exhaust fan.

For a while, I took the side cooling duct off and replaced it, sandwiching a 80mm between the case and the duct, sort of like a supercharger for the CPU cooling. It helped, but I don't really have heat problems so I took it out at a later point and put it on my hard drives -- which were becoming ovens. After that no more hot HDs!

You don't always need tons of fans. Sometimes you just have to find the best placement/combination for the fans you have.

Wow, you won't need to dust the room ever again :)  Sounds like a cool setup.

Glad it helped.

Blowhole is a logical solution, what does heat do? IT RISES.
First mod I ALWAYS do on a case with no blow hole. (top fan) is to cut a hole for one.

Works really well if you have the room for a 120mm Vantec Stealth fan. Moves a hell of a lot of air, and is very very quiet.
