It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

This is not a new situation. In some areas of the country it isn't all that unusual.

When I first started to sub while getting my full time teaching cert I was threatened repeatedly by HS and some Jr. High kids. A couple followed me to my truck on one occasion continuing to express threats. The principal felt it was no big deal and refused to deal with her students. I never went back to that school. Later on I switched to primary school for my certification. There is still some of that going on in the 5th and 6th grade level. Sad the way parents have abrogated their responsibility to be a full parent.

I flunked retirement, what can I say. The first retirement was at age 40. I wasn't ready to sit and twiddle my thumbs yet.

I did own and fly a Piper Comanche 180 and had half interest in a C 172.

I also never was a sniper, never got stung by a scorpion, never flew the F16 for anyone (but did get some time in the static F16 simulator at the Guard center at TUS and in the static simulator for the Cobra at the Marana Army Guard center), didn't claim to own a P51, never claimed to be coding a new whiz bang computer game.

Bring back the Paddles! Man I'm in high school right now and I've never seen anything like this before. I hope that teacher is fine. I don't even think in my high school of about 3,300 kids theres not a single gang, just groups of people.

Those kids have got to be the biggest P*$$ies I've every seen. Who hits a 61 year old teacher? Who even hits a teacher? They say school is a safe place, but to tell you the truth some schools are no different then a shopping mall, or a bad neigborhood with lots of crime.
