I forgot to add that my Dad swears by his air mattress... Not one of those cheapo camping mattresses, but a quality airbed. YMMV though... I don't like the air mattresses myself.

My cat used to like sitting on any kind of paper laying on the ground... He was really good at this and it must have been quite a thrill. Give it a try.

I'm about to go bed shopping...I have a full size now. Want to go queen or king. We have one of those stores that sell the TempurPedic (foam) beds and we also have an Select Comfort store.

Friend has the Tempur/foam bed. Says its very good, but come warmer weather, its very warm to sleep in. However, says its the best bed ever.

Don't know anyone who has those air/Sleep By Number beds. They sure look great and felt nice to lay on. But pretty expensive...and maybe it was the sales rep...but he didnt give me the feeling the motor/compressor had a very long warranty. Id just hate to find out how expensive it is to fix one of those things 5 years later.

I've been reading the ePinion reviews and they are all over the chart.

Thus far, a big ole Sealy coil mattress looks to be in my future, with some sort of memory foam cover...so if it is too warm for it, it can come off.

Anyone have a Sleep by Number?

LePaul lemme see if I can get ahold of my neighbor from when I lived in FL. He worked for Select Comfort as a manager but I think moved on to another job so I'm sure he'd give you the straight skinny on the bed.

I do believe he had one if that says anything.

We have had a Queen size select comfort pillow top for about 10 years and still like the day we bought it. The nice thing is sometimes you want the bed just a little bit firmer or softer and it is just a touch of the button. When you see the temperpedic commercial they show how you don't notice your mate rolling over, well same goes for the select comfort. As far as hot or cold, it is pretty much like a regular mattress not hot in summer or cold in winter just comfortable. As for pillows the temperpedic is our choice also, seems to be a perfect match.

I bought a new King Koil last year at Sleep Experts. It's a memory foam pillowtop and it's the best mattress I've ever slept on.

Beats every waterbed, air matterss and coil mattress I've ever tried. Only problem is the dang thing is 24 inches deep.

Not even close. Regular Marriots are better than Courtyards, and a lot of places are better than Marriots. They aren't bad though.

I belong to most of the hotel clubs, I travel so much it is handy for the free rooms.
