At the beginning of the Season I had questions about the Yanks pitching Staff. During the Season as usual the NY media went bonkers about the greatest offensive team yadada yadada yadada. They went into a small slump and thereafter played good baseball. But....they still had the same pitching staff which was mediocre at best. As always the NY Media Yankees greatest yadada yadadaa kept on pounding until they got into the playoffs and their pitching quite frankly was horrendous.
I've seen more dangerous and powerful offensive lineups in the AL within the last 10 to 12 years and I've definately seen better pitching staffs in the AL then the Yanks had this year. So goes the NY Media....they fell on their yadadadas, and the Yanks...well I guess 200 Mil doesn't get much these days uless it's bad backed pitchers, and old ones at that. And an over hyped offense that turned out to be anything but offensive when it counted. Hmmmm Boston had a huge payroll too dint they?
