Win98
Celeron400
AMD mb
Voodoo3 AGP 2000
Sound Blaster Live
19inch monitor, 1024x768

Been awhile since I have played this game, so I uninstalled and cleaned out the folder and reinstalled the game and the hi-res thing from scratch (fresh download).

The first time I enter AH, it prompts for the video, which I fill out and then the game starts--no problems.  BUT, the next time I go to play, the screen is all distorted, mosly white with weird shapes.  I have to Alt-F4 out of it.

I can get around this by deleting the video.cfg everytime and answering the prompt everytime.  Not a problem, but looking for a permanent fix.

Thanks for any help

Go into your settings directory and delete
your video.cfg file.  Run AH again and it will prompt you for you video settings.  Make certain that you select 16 bit color, the Voodoos will not run in 32 bit.

You might also make sure you have the most recent drivers for all your hardware and software as well.

Thanks Pyro, I had been checking 32 bit!
