Sorry about your loss

Did your dog ingest something?  I'm sure they'll run all kinds of toxicology but that's real young for a 1.75 year old dog to be fine one day, gone the next.

I was aware of the "greenie" product and never had it in the house...That said, Bosco was a chewer, and very well may have ingested something else.  Tufts said it may take as much as two weeks for an answer because the oddness of this death, but thinking about it now, he very well may have chewed on something that broke off and didnt disolve.... ugh

They get into everything

My Australian CattleDog got into some stuff...I came home frmo lunch one day and noticed a chewed up box of Sudafed and those foil packages on the floor.  The cat got up on the counter, played with the box and it hit the floor.  From there the dog got it.  I noticed the dog was acting a bit lethargic and called the vet.  She had be feed the dog something (cant recall now) that got her to throw up.  Amongst the vomit was 4 or 5 pills that hadnt disolved (some still sealed up).  Got it just in time.

I volunteered at the local humane society for a few years.  It can be heartwrenching...the things you see.  I've seen a lot of cases where the dog or cat get into some chemicals, lick up stuff on the driveway from what the car leaked, etc...

My condolences to you.  Pets are awesome at giving 100% love 24/7...and we get used to it.  When they are gone, that's a huge void that takes time to mend.

Losing a dog sucks... no more eloquent way to say it.

One of the best dogs I ever had was a Shar-pei/Golden lab mix. He looked like a pit bull sorta and acted like a lab.
