Poo, I understand and I should have thicker skin. But surely you know you are fanning the flames. Your posts have been nothing short of flaming the last few days...it must be ok though since you like HT's changes...my post was deleted in 5 minutes  lol   my first deletion!!  :lol

Slap, I don't see these "get rid of the ew and mw" threads you speak of. I have said in all my post that I like the new arenas for the fact that it opens the game back up to the guys that didn't like the LW.

With that being said though it seems obvious that the population didn't have enough people in there for HT's taste so he has decided to play god, as is his right since it's his game, and try to limit the LW yet again. In one post he says he would like arenas with 300 people in them....newsflash...that's what he had in LW after the first change.

This game has been going downhill for some time now and it sure isn't the la's and spiteens driving it there all by themselves.

I think HT was trying to address the issue of LW1 filled to max and LW2 having 20 or so people in it and trying to stop those who could only get into the less populated LW2 from logging off.

I think with this new LW balancer, he is trying to populate the LW arenas evenly. Now I did log in earlier and was able to see what is driving Overlag nuts.

LW1 was maxed and locked at 120/120 ... while L2 was 42/170 ... he would prefer to log into LW1 that has 120 people and now I know why. They way the coad works now, LW2 has to reach 80% of 170 before the max number in LW1 will increase ... when that will happen ... it's a crap shoot.

Maybe both LW arenas need to start with a default max of 125 (half of 250) ... that way one could choose either arena and once either arena hits the the 80% population, then the adjusting begins. This way, those who fly off US prime time may not have to deal with getting locked out or shuffled off to an arena that has the lower population.

Hopefully HT will tweak this new piece of code and make the majority of the LW population happy.

thanks slap, you understand the issue now?

yes crying like a baby last night wasnt the best way to show it, but i already KNEW what was going to happen this morning, and its why im asking for the oposite of what hitech probably thinks i want...

the cap should be 60 at first, that way we have TWO 60-80 player arenas during off peak periods.. and MW should pick up more players also. hell i been in MW all day because it had more numbers than LW2 :)

i think the new coad is a great way to even it out, but its punishment to people that fly off peak hours.

I believe I do ...

Either upping the start of the balancing or lowering just might work for you guys.

Fingers crossed ...  :aok

SlapShot both now start at 120, and when either hits 80% the other is bumped. Cant realy see any diff with 125 vs 120. Have been considering moveing the 80% to 70%

Although the low numbers in the wee hours are a little dissapointing, I can assuredly say that I have had the best fights of my AH career in the last few weeks....

Where have I had em... In EWA of corse....

HiTech, if EW or MW begin to become the arena that fills up will you be looking at splitting it the way LW is with a dynamic cap?

I agree with you Slap but moving the cap up would seem to be the logical thing to do. I know HT says that to get a sense of community the lower caps are needed but I don't buy into that..my personal opinion.. the griefers will end up in EW and MW now more often and that will start another round of "talks" :lol

As I said earlier the community will never be conjoined, there will always be different agendas within the game which is sure to keep the precious community from getting together and roasting marshmellows by a campfire.

The funny thing is that I consider myself a furballer and yet my views of how the game should be are very much different than many others who like the same play style that I do....I can't help the fact that I liked(to take a quote from HTC) the massive player enviroment that the LW was......sue me :D

Sorry ... didn't know it was 120 ... the 125 was just a number that I pulled from dividing 250 by 2 where 250 would be an arena max cap.

So no ... not much different I would have to agree.

Well its good to see that there are some that like things the way they are now. I think Hitech is heading in the right direction.
