Tomorrow the first lady, Laura Bush, and Senator McCain are traveling to Connecticut to campaign for GOP US House incumbant's.
So how do they travel?  As first lady, does Laura Bush get Air Force 1 privileges?  If so does she get privileges to AF1 (747), or is it limited to the "Air Force 2", the boeing 757?....What about people like Condoleeza Rice and Don Rumsfield?  When they travel without the President, and an aircraft from the Presidential Fleet is available, to they get to use it for travel?  (ex- Condy Rice traveling to Asia because of Nuclear Test by N.Kora, without the President).....

What about high ranking Senator's, like McCain?  Will he fly across the country to Connecticut in private gulfstream, falcon or citation?  Or will he fly commercial?

Are you the guy that wrote into Flying magazine complaining about how they're always wrong and that Air Force One is only a 747?

It's a call sign and nothin' more.

I'm sure she has privileges.  Her aircraft, provided she is the highest ranking member on board, would have its own callsign.  What that callsign is I have no idea.  I heard Hillarys was "Broomstick One" though ;)
