Economic Aid
« on: October 24, 2006, 01:20:33 PM »
I'm interested to hear everyone's feelings about US and giving economic aid.  Quit frankly, I think aid should only be given when it is proving strategic or tactical gain to the United States...Nothing more.  I believe we should be a benevolent people and look out for our neighboors, but sending my taxes away to some country I dont care about, doesnt sit right in my stomache.  For example, Darfur...I don't think the US should send a penny.  If you want to send your own money, then that's great and you are a very good human, but I don't think it's right for the government to send my tax dollar's to an area I just dont care about.....

Aid is how the DC crime families buy influence / favors for themselves, bribes and pay outs using our $$. If they decide not to go along with the wishes of the US, their "aid" $$ gets threatened.

Nice isn't it?, our school kids often lack supplies, books and clean schools while our alleged "leaders" urinate away our $$ on some dirt pile 1/2 across the planet, or a country that has a healthy economy..

Im all for economic aid and tons of it, but it has to be directed to projects/causes that are monitored by the donor country. Giving cash money to governments that are corrupt is not a good idea.

Chanses are that the cash goes to buying computers and email lists. One week later you get a mail from an ex-minister or a prince called Mfufu.

If you look at the US trade deficit, last year alone the US recieved over $700 billion in "foreign aid".

If it was up to me, I'd cut AID to every single country that ever bad mouthed or didn't agree with the USA.

You only get our money if you agree and help us.
