I think that remark is appauling.  I'm not sure how things work in Canada, but here in the US, service to the state is something noble.  Atleast to me.  This country has provided me with everything I could ever dream of, and as an able, and capible body, it is my duty to give something in return.  Like I said earlier, military aviation is my goal, but if I cannot meet that goal, then Border Patrol is something I look at very favorably.  Hell, I'd do these jobs for mininum wage if I had to because I believe in their importance.  And to answer your question, no.  I am not a commie that wants to force taxpayers to pay for my living.  I am a freedom loving, capitolist, with red, white and blue in my vein's who understands that freedom isn't free.

Cav, I'm certain that Thrawn was just doing a little chain pulling.

On a side note, there is nothing wrong with serving your country. I did for 13 years and still hold the Constitution in the highest of regards.....not so the Office of the President.
